Cepsa supplies second-generation biofuel to NYK Shipping in Japan

Cepsa has delivered second-generation biofuel to Japanese shipping company Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK Line) in Algeciras Bay.

Delivering 1,030 tonnes of Cepsa-produced B24 biofuel to the Atlas Leader, a 653-foot-long car carrier operated by NYK Line, the Bahía Levante runs on 100 per cent renewable diesel oil (HVO) when sailing and supplying 2G biofuel in port, as well as being battery-powered when docked.

In this way, Cepsa has further consolidated its position as a benchmark for the energy transition and a leader in the supply of energy for maritime transport.
