According to Palm Oil Journal, Indonesia estimates that if the biodiesel blend ratio is increased to 50%, annual crude palm oil consumption will increase to 2 billion liters (18.4 million tons), compared to 1.34 billion liters (12.328 million tons) under the current B35 program. By January 2025, the blending ratio will reach 40%.
Currently, domestic production is only 1.67-17 billion liters (14.72-15.64 million tons), so a significant increase in production will be needed to achieve the B50 plan.
